  At Macromedia's, you'll find the mother of all lists of Xtra's for Director (and / or authorware). Xtra's are a way to extend the capabilities of Director in a modular way. Xtra's made by a third-party can give Director advanced possibilities like 3D, Databases, extended printing capacities, importing of new media, new transitions, ...

  Here is the home of Director Web, one of the oldest sources of information about Director related stuff. They also host Direct-L, a very interesting mailing list for Director-users.
